The County Library Staff would like to apply for an Ontario Government "Early Years
Challenge Fund" grant that provides funds for community development programs. The

new mothers at hospitals. This initiative would not require financial commitment from the
County, to date, as sponsors have provided enough funds to cover the program for the
next three years. It was noted that as Dutton/Dunwich and West Elgin have provided
funds towards the Parent Child Resource Centre there could be a possible conflict. The
Manager of Library Services will check to see if they have submitted a separate grant
application or want to be included in the County's.
