SUBJECT: COMMITTEE/BOARD APPOINTMENTS FOR 2003
Introduction:
It is customary to make committee and outside appointments in December of each year.
What follows is a review of the appointments that were made in 2002 and an open roster
of appointments/vacancies for 2003. It is important to emphasize that past Councils have
attempted to balance the workload of Councillors by assigning an equal number of
appointments (if possible) to each member.
2002 Appointments:
Dispute Resolution - Warden Wilson, Councillors
McIntyre and Rock
Elgin County Pioneer Museum (1 appointee) - Councillor Faulds
EI.gin-S1. Thomas Health Unit (3 appointees) - Warden Wilson, Councillors

THAT the following appointments to boards and committees be confirmed for 2003:

THAT the Councillors appointed to the Thames Valley District Health Council and the
Elgin-St. Thomas Health Unit be permitted to accept per diems for these appointments, in
addition to their monthly stipend.
