SUBJECT: ZONE AMENDMENT – K. ROODZANT
Mayor McPhail called the meeting to order at 10:00 a.m. and welcomed everyone in
attendance.
The Clerk advised that notice of this meeting had been given under Section 34(12) of
the Planning Act by prepaid first class mail to all assessed owners within 150 metres of
the subject property as well as provincial agencies and ministries as prescribed by
regulation.
It was noted that correspondence had been received from the Lower Thames
Conservation Authority, and they have no objections to the zone change.
Ted Halwa, planner described the proposed zone amendment on the property at Pt. Lot
52, Registered Plan 202, Village of Rodney to change the zoning from Institutional (I)
Zone to Residential First Density (R1) Zone.
The property owner stated that she planned to sell the property, however the
prospective buyer wants to be assured that the residential zoning is in place. It has been
used as a residence for some time now.
Council directed the Clerk to prepare the Bylaw for the next meeting.
The process of the reading of the bylaw and the appeal period was explained to the
property owner.

RESOLVED that the Public Meeting concerning a proposed Zoning By-
Law Amendment for land in Part Lot 52, Registered Plan 202, Village of
Rodney, to change the zoning from Institutional (I) to Residential First
Density (R1) in the Municipality of West Elgin is hereby adjourned.
