SUBJECT: ZONE AMENDMENT – HARRY MEZENBERG
Mayor McPhail called the meeting to order at 10:15 a.m. and welcomed everyone in
attendance.
The Clerk advised that notice of this meeting had been given under Section 34(12) of
the Planning Act by prepaid first class mail to all assessed owners within 150 metres of
the subject property as well as provincial agencies and ministries as prescribed by
regulation.
It was noted that correspondence had been received from the Lower Thames
Conservation Authority, and they have no objections to the zone change. The Elgin St.
Thomas Health Unit indicated that their conditions have been satisfied.
Ted Halwa, explained the provisions to change the proposed zone amendment on the
property at Concession XI, (Western Division) Part of Lot A, that would change the
zoning from Agricultural (A1) Zone to the Special Agricultural (A2) Zone and to the “site-
specific” Agricultural (A1-34) Zone.
He explained that a letter would be required from the Building Inspector to confirm that
the silo had been removed from the property as requested by the land division
committee.
The Clerk was requested to prepare the by-law for the next regular meeting of council.

RESOLVED that the Public Meeting concerning a proposed Zoning By-
Law Amendment for land in Part Lot A, Concession XI, W.D., in the former
Township of Aldborough, to change the zoning from Agriculture (A1) Zone
to the Special Agricultural (A2) Zone and to the “site-specific” Agriculture
(A1-34) Zone in the Municipality of West Elgin be hereby adjourned.
DISPOSITION: Carried
