PROPERTY STANDARDS COMMITTEE

RESOLVED that the Property Standards Committee be convened and that
Duncan McPhail be appointed as Chairman.
The Mayor opened the meeting at 1:30 p.m. in the matter of Carmen Pfeifer, 25152
Talbot Line, R.R.#2, West Lorne, Ontario.
The Administrator/Treasurer reported that an Order to Remedy Non-Conformity with
Standards For Maintenance and Occupancy was issued on October 3, 2003. An
inspection was made on the property and the following non-conformities were noted:
1. Remove blue Ford pickup (derelict vehicle)
2. Remove trailer frame (derelict vehicle) situated at east fence line near highway.
The By-law Enforcement Officer presented the Committee with pictures of the derelict
vehicles.
Mr. Pfeifer reported that the trailer has been repaired and moved. He noted that he has
the parts to fix the pickup truck and is planning to do so.

RESOLVED that in the matter of an appeal made by Carmen Pfeifer,
25152 Talbot Line, West Lorne, Ontario from an order directing him to
carry out such work as is required to comply with the following provisions
of the Property Standards By-law 99-09 in regards to 25152 Talbot Line in
the Municipality of West Elgin:
1) Section 3.1 Remove blue ford pick-up
2) Section 3.1 Remove frame trailer frame situated at east fence line
near highway

This appeal having come on for public hearing this 23 day of October,
2003 and after hearing of the appeal:
The Committee hereby confirms the said order and the time for complying
with said order is hereby extended to October 31, 2003.
