SPECIAL SESSION
NOVEMBER 18, 2004

The Mayor opened this Special Session of Council at 9:30 a.m. and explained that this
meeting had been called to discuss background information for the Port Glasgow Master
Plan.
The Planner gave a slide presentation showing the features of the area as well as a
written outline.
Mr. Lierman noted the following:

Should the trail along the Sixteen Mile Creek be realigned to be closer to the
creek? Limited to pedestrians only?
?
Signage needs to be improved
?
Cedars on the hill block the view of the lake
?
No definition between parking areas and pedestrian walkways in marina area
?
Walkway around water’s edge?
?
Access from waterfront to Furnival Road? Where, from
Council reviewed a preliminary master plan. It was decided to present the preliminary
plan to the Yacht Club on January 20, 2005 to gain their input.
SUBJECT: CONFIRMATION BY-LAW

Seconded by Bodnar
RESOLVED that the mover be granted leave to introduce a by-Law to
confirm the proceedings of the special meeting of Council held on
November 18, 2004 and this shall be the first and second reading and
provisional adoption thereof.

RESOLVED that a By-law to confirm the proceedings of the special
meeting of Council held on November 18, 2004 be now read a third time
and finally passed, signed, sealed and numbered By-law Number 2004-87
– Confirming By-law November 18 2004.

RESOLVED that this Special Meeting of Council adjourn at 12:15 p.m. to
meet again on November 25, 2004.
