Ms. Shelly McCorkell, Executive Director, Alzheimer Society Elgin-St. Thomas, attended at
9:00 AM. to present a proposal for office space at Terrace Lodge to provide greater
access to Alzheimer services to east Elgin communities. Ms. McCorkell handed out a
revised presentation to Council. The partnership would be on a trial basis and evaluated
after the trial period to determine its effectiveness. Staff noted that additional costs would
be minimal.
DELEGATIONS
Warden Acre offered to declare a conflict as a courtesy to Council concerning the request
from the Municipality of Bayham, for a financial contribution from the County towards a
feasibility and impact study for a ferry service at Port Burwell. Council indicated they did
not feel the matter constituted a conflict and would appreciate the Warden providing
background and participating in the discussion on the matter.
