21-26 - Amend the By-Law to Designate Through HighwaysCOUNTY OF ELGIN By -Law No. 21-26 "TO AMEND THE SCHEDULE TO BY-LAW NO. 17-33 BEING A BY-LAW TO DESIGNATE THROUGH HIGHWAYS" WHEREAS pursuant to Section 1, Subsection 1, of the Highway Traffic Act, R.S.O. 1990, Chapter H.8, as amended, provides by definition that: "Through Highway" means a highway or part of a highway designated as such by the Minister or by by-law of a municipality, and every such highway shall be marked by a stop sign or yield right-of-way sign in compliance with the regulations of the Ministry. AND WHEREAS the Corporation of the County of Elgin did pass By -Law No. 17-33 providing for highways under the jurisdiction of the County of Elgin to be designated as through highways; AND WHEREAS said By -Law has been previously amended through By -Laws No. 18-28 and No. 19-13; AND WHEREAS it is deemed necessary to further amend the said By -Law; NOW THEREFORE the Municipal Council of the Corporation of the County of Elgin enacts as follows: 1. THAT Schedule "A" of By -Law No. 17-33 be amended by adding the following description: Road I Section I Description 73 A From the north side of Hale Street to the east side of Imperial Road. (Imperial Road 73 B From the west side of Levi Street to the south side of Dexter Line. (Imperial Road 73 C From the north side of Dexter Line to the south side of Highway 3. (Imperial Road 2. THAT By -Laws No. 18-28, 19-13, and other by-laws inconsistent with this one be, and the same are, hereby repealed; 3. THAT this By -Law shall come into force and take effect upon the final passing thereof. READ A FIRST, SECOND AND THIRD TIME AND FINALLY PASSED THIS 8T" DAY OF JUNE 2021.
