6.1Presentation – Budget Committee Meeting #6 – Director of Financial
Services
The Director of Financial Services provided an update on taxrate options
andthe associatedtax increaseonthe averagehome. In 2020, the
average home was assessed at $259,243.The Committee agreed to
updatethis figure to $350,000 and to remove the word average.

RESOLVED THAT a 2.9% tax increase be presented toCouncil on
February 9, 2021 along with associated operating budgets, capital budgets
and tax rate schedules.
