THAT the Warden and the Chief Administrative Officer be and are hereby authorized to sign the Collective Agreement between the County of Elgin and the Canadian Union of Public Employees, setting forth collective bargaining relations, disposition of grievances and to define working conditions and terms of employment for the library employees. NOW THEREFORE enacts as follows the Municipal Council of the Corporation of the County of Elgin WHEREAS agreement has now been reached by both parties on the said procedures, conditions and terms of employment to be included in an agreement to cover the period January 1,2006 to December 31,2009. WHEREAS negotiations have taken place over a period of time, between the County and the Union towards amending the collective bargaining relations and providing an orderly procedure for the disposition of grievances and defining working conditions and terms of employment for all employees who are represented by the Union, in the form of a Collective Agreement; and WHEREAS the Canadian Union of Public Employees, Local 841.6, is the sole and exclusive collective bargaining agent for all its employees save and except Branch Library Supervisors and persons above the rank of Branch Library Supervisor, Administrative Assistant, Director of Library Services, students, pages and temporary employees; and CORPORATION'S COUNTY LIBRARY EMPLOYEES" CANADIAN UNION OF PUBLIC EMPLOYEES WITH RESPECT TO THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CORPORATION OF THE COUNTY OF ELGIN AND BEING A BY-LAW TO AUTHORIZE THE EXECUTION OF A COLLECTIVE By-Law No. 06-15 COUNTY OF ELGIN
